Top 10 Players Who Got Injured During The International Break

A lot of football stars picked up several degrees of injury in the just concluded FIFA international break. As these players returned back to their clubs, tests have been carried out and treatment have already commenced. Below are some of these players:

1. Jules Kounde: The Barcelona FC defender picked up an injury during France’s 2-0 victory over Austria in their UEFA Nations league clash. He has since returned back to Barcelona for treatment.

2. Marco Verratti: the Paris Saint German midfielder also picked up an injury during the international break with the Italian National team.


3. Ronald Araujo: the Barcelona defender got injured in the first minute of Uruguay’s friendly game with Iran. He has already undergone operation and could miss the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

4. Aleksander Isak: the Newcastle United record signing picked up an injury while away with Sweden during the International break.


5. Memphis Depay: the Barcelona striker got injured during Netherlands’ game with Poland in the UEFA Nations league.

6. Harry Maguire: the Manchester United captain picked up a muscle injury during England’s last UEFA Nations league clash with Germany at Wembley Stadium.


7. Frenkie De Jong: the Dutch player flew back to Barcelona after Netherlands’ game with Poland with an injury.

8. John Stones: the England defender got injured and was substituted in England’s last UEFA Nations league clash with Germany at Wembley Stadium.


9. Mike Maignan: the French goal keeper picked up a calf injury in their UEFA Nations league clash with Austria. He was substituted in the first half of that game following the pains.

10. Thomas Partey: the Arsenal midfielder picked up an injury during their warm up exercise prior to the friendly game between the Black Stats of Ghana and the Samba Boys of Brazil. He is now a doubt for Arsenal’s English Premier league game against Tottenham Hotspur.
